|George Mitchell Nature Preserve
Join Rooted & Rising Foundation for a gentle, grounding experience in nature created specifically for women who have experienced trauma.

Time & Location
Oct 24, 2026, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
George Mitchell Nature Preserve, 5171 Flintridge Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77381, USA
About the event
Shinrin Yoku, often translated as “forest bathing,” is the practice of slowing down, stepping away from the noise of everyday life, and intentionally connecting with nature through the senses. There is no need to hike quickly or accomplish anything. This is an invitation to pause, breathe, notice, and simply be.
We will spend time walking gently through the preserve, connecting with our surroundings, and creating space for reflection and sharing in a supportive environment.
We intentionally keep our groups small so that each woman has the opportunity to be seen, heard, and supported.
First 10 participants only. Because space is extremely limited, please only register if you are certain you will be able to attend. We want to make sure that every woman who needs this experience has the opportunity to participate, and an unused spot means another woman may miss out.
